Isanti Parade tonight! I get more excited to see my friends who come, then to actually watch the parade and/or see my entire highschool class again... Anyway, something that we have looked forward too for the last couple of summers was participating in the kiddie parade on Saturday morning... However, this year, my cousin and I talked about it and neither one of us really are feeling up for it. We don't have any great ideas to go on, so we are not participating this year! I just told her that I couldn't do something simple and just be happy with that... I am a fierce competetor when it comes to these types of things! If I don't think we could win, then we will not participate!!! Where does this fire and passion come from? Well I wouldn't really call it that... I would call it an obsession to win!!! We have an idea for next year, so I am excited about that! We will just carve out more time to do it!
Listen, I know that this sounds sick... but I just can't help it! Pretty soon the kids will be old enough to pick out what they want to be in the kiddie parade and then it will be more about them as individuals and blah blah blah, but for right now, we have the control and the absolute say, and DAMNIT I want to win!!!!

Colorado
We are in Colorado over the 4th of July weekend. So far is has been really fun. Would I say relaxing... probably not! We have hiked almost everyday! Not that I am trying to complain, but geez, I hate hiking... Anyway, today we had a nice restful event. We went to some natural hot springs and enjoyed the rain at the same time. By the time we left I could barely hold up my limbs and keep my eyes open! I was very relaxed. I have found that vacations with a large group can be very challenging. Getting a group of 11 to make decisions and act on them have been sort of a headache. Oh well. It is beautiful here and we have had great weather. Having a toddler with sometimes causes some stress in the group. We are used to having him with and knowing what his ticks are, but sometimes it seems like the others aren't as accepting. I hate feeling like my pride and joy, the thing I love most, would be a burden to someone else. I think I just take that a little bit overboard, but I can't help it! Anyway, today is the 4th and we went to a parade this morning. We then went to the hot springs, now we are going out for amazing pizza (so I've heard about this restaurant) and then we are going up the mountain a little bit to watch fireworks! Tomorrow Nate, Cooper and I are going downtown to check out the sites. On Tuesday the crew, minus Cooper and Lori (Nate's aunt) will be rafting down the Colorado River. I am excited, but nervous! Been white water rafting once, remember Bri? It was fun. So hopefully we will have great weather and zero injuries. We will be home on Wednesday night and then start a crazy rodeo weekend at home. Summer is cruising!

My 3 year old
Cooper turns 3 tomorrow. I just can't believe it. Where did the time go? He can run, climb, sort of form funny sentences, sass... It's just crazy to think that three years ago today I was in the hospital waiting to meet him. He will be going to nursery school in the fall, I can't think about that yet -tear- I am just amazed at how fast the time has gone and how different he is from 3 years ago. They change so fast.

Curling
Curling runs my life! My whole family curls all winter! We all look forward to it. If you haven't tried it, you should! It's so much fun and it's really quite easy. (Unless you suck, which my team and I have struggled with this year) But we have a couple of Bonspiels (curling tournaments) coming up that should be very exciting! I am posting a couple of pictures from previous spiels... enjoy. Our theme for the women's bonspiel was "Rockstar". My team was Queen!

Here we are again
Well the holidays are over for now and we are in full swing of the curling season! I love curling season! I am back at school for my 2nd to last one and last full semester on campus! We are getting ready for Jamaica in April and we are very excited. We have birthday's, anniversaries, showers, bonspiels, and wedding activities coming up in the next couple of months! It's going to be a crazy spring. Also, we are planning a summer vacation to Steam Boat Springs, CO for the 4th of July with Nate's family. That should be very exciting, yet very stressful. I hate to fly and we are planning on taking Cooper on his first plane ride... I'm nervous about it already! Oh well, it'll be fun.
Cooper is training away at the potty. This can be a very annoying process. One week he likes to wear underwear, the next week he would rather have his diapers... it's hard to adjust to unpredictability. And I really hate cleaning poop out of underwear! TMI. Oh, also something fun that we did lately with Cooper was taking him and his cousins to Sesame Street live. It was fun.
That's all for now. I like to catch up on stuff that everyone else is doing...
