It's Quite
So here's a first: I have the house all to myself for the next hour! I should be cleaning and cooking for Cooper's 2nd Birthday party, but instead, I'm blogging. Oh well, I'm sure that I will be able to whip things together at the last minute-- I'm a mother for goodness sakes! I'm used to the chaos of having a kid running around, or having my elderly parents (they're only 50) yakking in my ear, or having nate say, "come here, I want to show you something". It's strange.
I have accomplished plenty today while everyone was around, for instance; I made pancakes for my baby, husband, and father. I chopped onions, red peppers, and olives for potato salad. I mashed strawberries for dessert. I have done two loads of laundry. I clothed my son and got him ready to go shopping with daddy for mommy. (me, its for mother's day) And now here I sit. Hmm... it's weird. I'm tempted to go and get a Chai at the local coffee shop and just sit. But the second wind will catch and I'll get everything I need to get done. It's just weird that I get to do it all by myself.
I think I am becoming more and more like my mom, I have the sudden urge to turn on CMT and clean. Yikes. Well to all you mothers and daughters of mothers, have a good day tomorrow!

Costco
So there is this thing about Costco. I get really excited about going and thinking about everything that is there and what is going to be new. But the excitement ends when I get to the parking lot. The anxiety kicks in when I start thinking about the amount of money that I am going to spend compared the the amount of money that I want to save. I also start thinking about how long I'll be in there and how long the lines will be. Then I get in and there is so much stuff it gets overwhelming! I want to leave about 5 minutes after stepping in the door. It's a crazy feeling, well feelings! But here we go again!

Duluth
Duluth is such a nice little escape from reality for the weekend. We went up last Saturday night and stayed overnight. Our hotel was right on Canal park. We walked out the back of our hotel and we were on the boardwalk. It was so nice because we didn't have to drive anywhere to do something. Cooper wasn't feeling too well on Saturday (his golden birthday) but well enough to go for a pier walk. Nate and I walked down to the lighthouse and lift bridge then up the streets of canal park. We were walking for like 2 hours and it was just an amazing and relaxing night. Cooper went to bed with no problems and slept like a champ. We visited Enger park on our way out of town which was fun and free. And we were home by 2:00 on Sunday afternoon. We were gone less than 24 hours but it was such a nice breather from the regular routine. I can't wait to do it again. Here are some pictures from our short trip.

Tessa's first Prom
This was Tessa's first prom. Her date was a friend and he was a nice boy. She looked really classy and not as "prommy" as the other little girls that were there. He hair turned out amazing!!! Thanks to me! (not really, I made the hair appointment!) She had a really fun day and it was fun to share it with her. I can't believe she's old enough to go! Yikes.

What am I doing right now? Thanks for asking.
Right now I am making a Birthday Tshirt for itsy bitsy cooper. He is going to wear it tomorrow to the family reunion. What else? Wishing I could be garage saling... I am going to make cupcakes for Coop and than I am going to watch Narnia 2. Should be relaxing as long as Coop stays sleeping for awhile. No nap tomorrow.
